How to fit a neck float

Takes under a minute — do it on a dry, flat surface first

Choose the right sizeCheck the inner ring size in the specifications against your baby's age and weight.
Open the ringUndo both buckles and open the ring wide.
Place it around the neckRest your baby's chin in the chin support, with the ring sitting evenly all round.
Close and lockFasten both buckles and press the button lock. You should fit one finger between ring and neck.
Into the water, slowlyLower your baby into the bath or pool gently and keep your hand within reach at all times.

What age is this neck float for?

From 0 to 12 months, within the weight range shown on this page. Once your baby is more active and has good head control, most parents move up to a chest float.

Bath or pool?

Both. Use it in a baby bath, a deep home bath or a warm pool, always with an adult within arm's reach.

How tight should it be?

Snug but comfortable: with both buckles and the button lock closed, you should be able to slide one finger between the ring and your baby's neck, with the chin resting in the chin support.

Does it need inflating?

No. The ring is solid foam with no air chamber and no valve, so it is ready to use straight away.

Is a neck float suitable for every baby?

Do not use a neck float if your baby has any condition affecting the head, neck or muscle control, or was born prematurely, without asking your paediatrician first.

How do I clean it?

Rinse with fresh water after use, wipe dry and let it air-dry in the shade before storing.
